On November 6th, a memorable day came to life with the first edition of the “Bike n’Beer” hiking by bike and craft beer event on the French Riviera. It was a perfect combination of breathtaking landscapes, passionate people, and a delightful selection of artisanal beers from Bluecoast Brewery. We covered 60 km and ascended 1200 m through the hilly hills of Nice, passing through picturesque villages like Aspremont and Colomars. Join us to relive this incredible adventure and discover how you can take part in future “French Riviera Like a Local” hikes!

Preparations: An Exciting Start

The excitement was palpable at the start of this biking and beer hike. The rising sun illuminated our path as we gathered for this cycling adventure. The feeling of unity was already present as we all shared the same passion for biking and love for this beautiful region.

60 km of Challenges and Discoveries

The hike began with a gradual ascent, allowing us to warm up while admiring the panoramic views of the French Riviera. We crossed picturesque landscapes, passing through olive fields and authentic villages. Each kilometer traveled was an invitation to explore the beauty of the region and soak in the positive energy of the group.

The 1200 m of elevation provided challenges, but we were motivated by the desire to discover new horizons and push ourselves beyond our limits. The uphill climbs were rewarded with exhilarating descents, where we let ourselves glide, savoring the feeling of freedom that only cycling can offer.

Heartwarming Encounters

This biking and beer hike was also an opportunity to meet local and international biking enthusiasts, all sharing the same love for adventure and self-improvement. We exchanged stories of biking journeys, shared tips on the best routes in the region, and forged bonds that strengthened our sense of belonging to a dynamic biking community.

A Delicious Stop at Bluecoast Brewery

At the peak of our route, we were warmly welcomed by Cédric from Bluecoast Brewery, who opened the doors to his realm of craft beer. The setting of the brewery provided a friendly atmosphere where we could relax and rejuvenate after our efforts on the road.

The craft beer tasting was a sensory experience, with rich aromas and unique flavors tantalizing our taste buds. Cédric guided us through different beer styles, sharing his expertise and passion for this craft. Each sip was a celebration of the creativity and talent of Bluecoast Brewery.

An Adventure to Repeat

The first edition of the biking and beer hike on the French Riviera was a memorable day, where the challenges of biking were balanced by the beauty of the landscapes and the camaraderie of the group. The warm encounters and passionate exchanges deepened our love for cycling and our desire to participate in future “French Riviera Like a Local” hikes.
